HOW IT ALL STARTED

Music has been part of Reid Stanton’s life for as long as he can remember. Growing up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, his passion started at a young age. In the fourth grade, Reid would call into his local rap radio station to request songs. Hearing his own voice on the radio gave him a feeling he never forgot and sparked a dream of one day becoming part of the music industry.

At 18 years old, Reid worked alongside a member of the local rap group OTD. After work, he’d spend hours at their house watching them freestyle, write music, and prepare for shows. Attending their performances opened his eyes to the business behind live entertainment and inspired him to pursue a career in music. Just before his 21st birthday, OTD asked Reid to become their manager. He immediately got to work and, only two weeks before turning 21, promoted his very first local showcase in Green Bay. One month later he organized another. By his third event, Reid booked Cryptic Wisdom and sold out the venue. His fourth show came through a partnership with Face Entertainment, bringing Ces Cru of Strange Music to Appleton, WI Area.

Things moved quickly. Each successful event made the dream feel more real. When OTD eventually stopped making music, Reid joined Face Entertainment and began helping promote larger concerts featuring artists such as Obie Trice, Gorilla Zoe, Merkules, and many others. During this time he met DJ Matt M, who became not only a close friend but also Reid Stanton’s official DJ—a partnership that continues today. About a year later, Reid and Face Entertainment parted ways. Rather than giving up, Reid saw it as an opportunity to build something that no one else could control. He founded Reid Stanton Promotions (RSP) with the vision of creating a company that belonged entirely to him. RSP exploded onto the scene almost immediately. Within the first month of announcing the company, Reid booked Lil Wyte, Seckond Chaynce, and Twista, proving that his new brand was here to stay

Around that same time, Reid met an artist named M The Prophet. Soon after, he booked Afroman for the first time. On the day of the show, Afroman stopped by the studio where he recorded the song “Cloud 9” with M The Prophet and filmed the music video. Before the concert, they hosted a free meet-and-greet at a dispensary in Menominee, Michigan. That evening, more than 400 fans packed the venue in Green Bay—making it Reid’s biggest show to date and another milestone that proved his vision was becoming reality.

Reid dedicated himself to developing M The Prophet’s career, but after the artist moved out of state and stepped away from music, Reid shifted his focus back to building the company. He began promoting events in Marinette, Wisconsin alongside Caesar, eventually hosting a large showcase competition with Put The City On that attracted over 100 artists. One performer stood out above everyone else—a 16-year-old artist named 906hammy.

Although 906hammy had only been making music for about six months and had released just a few songs, Reid immediately recognized his potential after hearing the track “Cruel World.” Reid offered to manage him and welcomed him into Reid Stanton Promotions. From day one, Reid invested in the young artist by scheduling professional studio sessions, photo shoots, and placing him as a co-headliner on major events throughout Wisconsin. Not long after, Reid was offered the opportunity to become a tour promoter for Afroman. He booked his first tour featuring Afroman and 906hammy, and helped bring together a collaboration that resulted in the song and music video “Hot Boxin’” between the legendary artist and the then-16-year-old rapper.

Reid’s reputation for building tours continued to grow. He promoted Ryze Hendricks’ first headlining tour, spanning 28 days across the country. Reid brought both 906hammy and Dubb Saq on the road as tour support. It was on that tour that Reid first met Dubb Saq, beginning a friendship that would later grow into a strong business partnership. Over the next two years, Reid continued promoting Afroman tours across the United States. He brought Matt M on the road as tour DJ while 906hammy and Dubb Saq traveled as supporting artists, gaining valuable experience performing nationwide.

While continuing to book tours, Reid remained focused on developing 906hammy’s career. Under his management, 906hammy landed collaborations with Mac Lethal, Blind Fury, Sean Kingston, and Rick Ross, helping establish the young artist as one of Wisconsin’s rising talents. At the same time, Reid expanded his concert promotions in Appleton, Wisconsin, producing major events at Ob’s Brau Haus featuring artists including Finesse2Tymes, Yung Bleu, and many more national acts.

As Reid Stanton Promotions continued to grow, Reid and Matt M realized they wanted to build something even bigger than a promotions company. Together, they created the RSP Music Group. A new indie Record Label. The label’s mission is simple: develop talented artists, release high-quality music, and give independent musicians the resources and opportunities needed to compete on a national level. Alongside launching the label, Reid continues booking concerts and national tours. In 2026, he serves as the booking agent for Certified Trapper’s September tour while continuing to expand RSP’s presence throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Today, Reid Stanton wears many hats—concert promoter, tour promoter, booking agent, artist manager, label executive, and entrepreneur—but his mission has never changed. His goal isn’t simply to throw concerts. His goal is to create careers. Reid believes success means helping every artist on his roster reach a level where they can support themselves and their families through music. Looking ahead, he plans to open RSP-branded music venues across the United States, creating permanent homes for live entertainment while continuing to book national tours and develop the next generation of artists.

For Reid Stanton, the dream that started with calling into a local radio station has become a lifelong mission—to build opportunities for artists, create unforgettable live experiences, and leave a lasting impact on the music industry.
